An LLP member's designation as a natural person or corporate body can't be edited directly once entered. This isn't treated as a change — legally, it's a removal and a new appointment, filed to Companies House as two separate forms.

1. Remove the member with the incorrect type

• Go to the Members tab for the LLP.
• Click the yellow pencil next to the member and select "Terminate appointment as member."
• Enter the date of leaving office, then click Next.
• Choose whether you want approval first (produces a summary document to sign off before filing) or to file straight away.
• This is filed to Companies House as form LL TM01.

2. Add them again with the correct type

• From the Members tab, click Add new member.
• Select the correct type — Individual or Corporate body — and enter their details (for a corporate body: registered name, registration number and jurisdiction; for a natural person: full name, date of birth, address).
• Follow the same approval/filing choice as above.
• This is filed to Companies House as form LL AP01 (individual member) or LL AP02 (corporate member).

Both filings are submitted electronically to Companies House by Inform Direct as part of this process.
