If a confirmation statement is filed for a company in your portfolio without using Inform Direct, it is important to ensure that any updates are reflected within the software.

Next confirmation statement due date:

Inform Direct sync multiple times each day to pick up the next due date for confirmation statements. It will therefore update to show the next filing date within a matter of hours of the filing appearing at Companies House.

If the confirmation statement is filed 'with no updates':

It is only the next due date which will be updated in this scenario as per the above note. No further action is required.

If the confirmation statement is filed 'with updates':

An alert on the dashboard of the company is generated and email sent to any principal contacts on the account to confirm that there has been a confirmation statement filed with updates. This is important as updates to the shareholdings (as we cannot assume the transaction details) and the SIC code are not brought in to Inform Direct from the filing, so may need to be replicated to reflect the updated position within the Inform Direct software. 

Note: It is safe to replicate transfers or SIC code updates on Inform Direct as neither process generates a Companies House filing, therefore nothing would be duplicated.
