How to link your BrightChecks account to Inform Direct

The identity checking tool via Inform Direct is using the BrightChecks software. Integration is available to help with accessing checks and paying for checks in bulk. 

 

This link enables you to:

  • View checks sent via Inform Direct in BrightChecks
  • Purchase check credits in bulk rather than separate card payments

1. When sending an identity check from Inform Direct, the stage relating to payment will show two options:

  • Use credits in BrightChecks - Instructions to set this up are below. 
  • Pay per transaction - Using a card payment for each separate check purchased.

 

Note: Utilising the link to BrightChecks once will enable the link for your Inform Direct account as a whole. Other users on the account with user permissions to send checks can do so, using credits in the BrightChecks account.

 

2. Selecting Use credits in BrightChecks will take you to the BrightChecks website. This allows you to either:

  • Log in to an existing Bright account using Sign in with BrightID (jump to step 4), or
  • Create a BrightID by selecting Get started.

Note: Logging in via your existing BrightID will direct you to your Bright account. You can purchase credits or check other account details if required.

 

3. Selecting Get started prompts the simple Bright sign up process shown below.

 

4. You will be taken to your Bright products page once logged in/signed up, as shown below. Selecting BrightChecks will open the specific product. 

 

5. If you have not yet created a BrightChecks account, you will be directed to a page to get started.

 

Those with an existing BrightChecks accounts will be shown their Overview page.

 

6. The BrightChecks account allows you the option to view existing checks and send new checks separately to Inform Direct.

7. On Inform Direct, the linking of accounts will allow you to select purchasing each check using BrightChecks credits, including the remaining balance and option to purchase more.
