PSCs in a company will need to verify their identity to receive a personal code. This code must then be reported to Companies House to confirm that they have been verified. 

When they need to be submitted:

• A new PSC in a company will have the option to include the personal code as part of their appointment, or submit their code within 14 days of being added. 
• PSCs which are also a director/LLP member will be prompted to send their code within 14 days of the confirmation statement. This will be suggested at the end of the confirmation statement filing process.
• PSCs which are not a director/LLP member will be required to provide their code in the first 14 days of their month of birth.

How to automate submitting the code:

An account wide setting can be applied which will automatically submit the VS01 when:

• The PSC verification due date is reached
• A personal code has been entered for the PSC in Inform Direct

Organisations can enable this automation under the Account tab at the top of the screen, selecting Edit account details. Please note, this feature is disabled by default and must be manually activated by the user.
