If the import process has incorrectly treated a shareholder as a corporate rather than as an individual this can be resolved.
Note: You can tell if this is the case because the full name will be in capital letters.
1. Make a share transfer from the corporate shareholder to a new individual shareholder which you will populate with the same name. See How do I transfer shares? for this part
Note: If the shareholder in question is an existing PSC or director, you can simply start typing their forename and their record will appear underneath. You can simply select this record.
Do not create a new shareholder if it already exists because this will create a duplicate persons record.
2. You should now only see the corporate shareholder in the shareholders tab by clicking 'Former'.
3. If you would like this transaction removed from the history of the company you will need to contact our customer support at support@informdirect.co.uk.
Let us know the company in question, the situation and that the shares have been transferred already. Then our technical team can remove the transfer you made and the old defective corporate shareholder from the history.
Note: This is a free service from subscribers to Inform Direct but for PAYG users we reserve the right to make a modest charge for this service.
