It is common to request an electronic signature on a share certificate or dividend voucher. If you are unsure on how to request these, Adobe provides a tool to help.
Firstly you will need to download the document from Inform Direct. To help with this we have a guide How Do I Download a Document from the Document Library?
By clicking the button with an arrow next to your share certificate or Dividend voucher you will be taken to a site in your web browser.
From there, click on the print icon and change destination to Save as PDF as shown in the image below.
Once you have clicked save this will be downloaded to a folder of your choice.
Next Open the document in Adobe.
Note: the PDF is deliberately password protected to safeguard the certificate design — we don't give out this password. This doesn't stop you completing the process below: the protection still allows the editable fields to be filled in and the document to be e-signed using the Request signatures tool. However, Adobe's own free Fill & Sign tool does not work with a protected document — use Request signatures as described below instead, or another e-signing tool that supports filling in protected PDFs.
Important: Always send the file exactly as downloaded from Inform Direct. If you (or the recipient) open the downloaded PDF and re-save it through another program before sending it on for signature, this can strip the fillable and signable fields — the file will then behave as if it can't be filled in or signed at all.
Click request signatures found on the right hand side. The below window will appear.
This will allow you to send the document to the person you wish to sign it.
For each recipient you can assign which fields you wish for them to populate using the below options dragged on to the PDF.
Below is how the document will look like once you have placed the items do be filled in on it.
All you need to do now is send the file.
