For certain changes, Companies House require you to give Inform Direct permission to make the update. 

A small number of filings to Companies House use a different filing method to most actions submitted. These filings require authorisation to be granted as confirmation that Inform Direct can make the required change.

 One example of this is to change the Registered email address for a company. 

When making a change which requires access to be granted to Companies House, Inform Direct will show a permission screen as displayed below:

Note: The authentication code can be copied at this stage as it will be required later in the process. 

This will direct you to Companies House where you will be asked to log in.

Once signed in, the authentication code will be required.

Once the correct code is entered, authorisation can be completed via the Allow access button.
