It is possible from 30th June 2016 to elect to keep your registers at Companies House. Opinion is divided on the wisdom of doing this.
Note: This comes with notes of warning: Can I keep my statutory registers at Companies House?
To withdraw the election to hold registers at Companies House:
1. Go to the 'Company' tab and select 'Withdraw register elections.'
2. This will pop up with a screen showing you what registers will be removed from Companies House.
Note: Once you click the red 'Submit the Companies House' button, this will be sent and Inform Direct can't stop this submission.
Note: Your statutory registers are all kept in Inform Direct and you can view, edit and download them through the system. Please see Overview of the statutory registers for more help.
Note: If you use Inform Direct, your company’s statutory registers are maintained within Inform Direct and should not be elected to be held at Companies House. If you need to withdraw a previous election, see our guide on withdrawing the election.
