The Ideas Portal lets you suggest, vote on and discuss ideas for Inform Direct.
The Ideas Portal is where you can share feedback on Inform Direct and see what other users are asking for. It is hosted by Aha!, the service we use to collect and track ideas, and it opens inside Inform Direct so you do not need to leave the software.
Who can use it?
The Ideas entry appears in the Account menu for subscribers. If you are a PAYG user you will not see it in the menu. What are the benefits of subscribing to Inform Direct?
How do I open the Ideas Portal?
Open the Account menu at the top of the screen and select Ideas. The Ideas Portal page opens below the usual toolbar.
Do I need to sign in?
You can browse and search ideas without signing in. To add an idea, vote or comment you need an Aha! account:
- Select Log in / Sign up at the top right of the portal.
- Sign in, or create an Aha! account if you do not already have one.
Your Aha! account is separate from your Inform Direct login.
How do I find an idea?
- Use Search all ideas to look for a keyword.
- Use Filter by category on the left, for example Portfolio, Documents and Templates or Dates.
- Use Filter by: Status and Sort by to change what you see. Ideas are sorted by Trending by default.
Each idea shows its title, a short description, who added it, when, its category and how many comments it has.
How do I add an idea?
- Select Add a new idea.
- Enter a one-sentence summary in Your idea. This is required. Similar ideas appear as you type, so check whether someone has already suggested it and vote for it instead.
- Under Please add more details, explain why the idea is useful, who would benefit and how it should work.
- Attach files if they help to explain the idea.
- Choose a category, then select Add idea.
How do I vote, comment or follow an idea?
Open the idea, then select Vote to show your support, Add a comment to share a specific requirement, or Subscribe to follow it. Your own ideas, votes and subscriptions are listed under My ideas, My votes and My subscriptions on the left.
What can other users see?
Your name is shown next to the ideas you add, and the number of votes on each idea is visible to everyone. Please do not include confidential client information in an idea. See the Privacy policy link at the bottom of the portal for how Aha! handles your details.
What happens to my idea?
The Product team reviews the ideas. Where an idea is popular, they will either work towards delivering it or explain why that is not possible.
The portal will not load. What should I do?
Refresh the page and try again. If it still does not load, contact support@informdirect.co.uk.
