Overview
Inform Direct currently does not support special characters (such as ä, ü, é, ñ, ç, or other accented letters) in any address field within the software. This limitation applies to all areas where addresses are entered, including shareholder, officer, PSC, and company addresses.
What to Do
- Workaround:
If an overseas address contains special characters, please substitute the nearest standard English equivalent (e.g., use "a" for "ä," "n" for "ñ," etc.). Why?
Some special characters are accepted by Companies House when filing directly via WebFiling, but are currently blocked in software due to Companies House restrictions.
