Overview
Sometimes you may not see a company in your Portfolio, or when trying to import a company you receive a message stating “the company is already on this account”—even when it appears missing. This guide helps you resolve the most common reasons for this issue.
1. Check for Dissolved/Strike off Companies
If your company has been dissolved, it will not appear in the main Portfolio list.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Portfolio screen.
- Look for the “Dissolved companies” section.
- Click the “View dissolved” button to display all companies in strike-off and dissolved on your account.
2. Check user permissions
If you are not an administrator, you may not have been given access to view all companies on the account. Please contact your admin user and ask them to check by:
Navigating to "Account" and "Manage Users"
Click on the yellow pencil next to your name
Select "Edit user access" - The restricted companies section is the last step of this process.
3. Check for Hidden or Filtered Companies
If you use filters, search, or custom Portfolio displays:
- Remove or reset any filters or searches in the Portfolio view.
- Ensure you are viewing all companies (not just tagged, grouped, or filtered lists).

6. Still Cannot Find the Company?
If you have checked all of the above and still cannot see your company:
- Contact the Inform Direct support team with your company name and company number.
- Provide details of any error messages and what you have checked so far.
