The Portfolio screen allows you to easily manage a great number of companies.
There are 7 options:
1. Clicking on the grey "Your Portfolio" will take you back to your Portfolio. If you are already on the Portfolio screen it will refresh the page.
2. Clicking on the grey "Form New Company" will start the formation wizard. See Form New Company for details. The new company, once formed, will automatically be added to your Portfolio.
3. Clicking on the grey "Import Company" will allow you to add another company to your Portfolio. See Import Company for details of how to do this.
4. Clicking on the grey "Documents & Reports" will open the Document Library.
5. The "Account" button opens a menu with four options:
- Account details – manage your account with Inform Direct, including the option to have additional users. See Account for details.
- Profile – update your details, including how to reset your password or access the settings feature. See Profile for more details.
- Ideas (subscribers only) – opens the Ideas Portal, where you can browse, vote on and suggest ideas. See How do I use the Ideas Portal?
- Logout – logs you out of Inform Direct.
6. The pencil icon will offer all available shortcuts for that company. Clicking on the short cut will start the relevant flow.

How do I remove a filter from the Portfolio screen?
The Portfolio screen doesn't have filters as such — there's nothing to "clear" in that sense. Instead, you can:
- Click a column header (e.g. Name, or a date column) to sort the list alphabetically or by date.
- Use the search bar to search across your portfolio — if you have custom fields made visible on the Portfolio, these are searchable too.
To get back to the default, unsorted view of your full portfolio, clear any text from the search bar and click the grey "Your Portfolio" button (see option 1 above) to refresh the page.
Can I filter or search my portfolio by a custom field (such as Office, Partner or Client code)?
There's no filter dropdown, but you can type the value into the search bar. This works for any custom field that is filled in for your companies and set to show on the Portfolio screen, for example Office, Partner, Client code, Manager or Year end group. Type the value (such as the office name) and the list narrows to the matching companies. Clear the search bar to see your whole portfolio again.
