The RP01 form can be used to second file a document that has inaccuracies on the register on or after 1st October 2009.
Companies House state that a 'second filing' of information can be provided in cases where there is 'a trivial inaccuracy that does not affect the underlying meaning of the information.'
It is important to consider the above before proceeding with the second filing, as submissions that are deemed to be correcting more than just a trivial inaccuracy may not be accepted. All second filings must be completed directly at Companies House and cannot be submitted via Inform Direct.
Online corrections: The RP01 form can be completed online using Companies House Webfiling for the following forms:
- CS01 Confirmation statement (parts 1 to 4 only)
- SH01 Return of allotment of shares
- AP01 Appointment of director
- PSC01 PSC Appointment
Note: Webfiling does not support second filing for LLP's - the LL RP01 must be submitted on paper in all instances.
Paper based corrections: For the remainder of the forms shown below, the RP01 will need to be completed on paper and submitted to Companies House in the post. The RP01 form will need to be filled out and attached to a new version of the form you wish to second file that will replace the incorrect original held on the public record.
Note: All Companies House forms need to be printed on white A4 sized paper.
Note: The original/defective form will remain on the public register but it will be annotated to show that there has been a second filing.
This process applies to the following documents:
- AP02 Appointment of corporate director
- AP03 Appointment of secretary
- AP04 Appointment of corporate secretary
- CH01 Change of director’s details
- CH02 Change of corporate director’s details
