It is easy to record a payment of unpaid shares this process is known as a call payment. It is possible to purchase a call on any nil or partly paid shares using Inform Direct.

1. Go to the Share Classes tab.

2. Click on the round blue arrow symbol opposite this share class to bring up the details for just this class.

3. From the next screen select ‘Statement of capital’ from the left hand menu.

4. Click on the pencil and select the call payment option.

5. On the next screen enter both the date and amount of the call payment.

6. When you click 'Next' Inform Direct will list all the known holders of this share class.

If the list is incorrect or incomplete, see: How do I attribute shares? Otherwise, enter the number of shares for which payment is being made.

7. Once you press 'Submit' the statement of capital will be amended to reflect the payments. 

8. You can click on the blue arrows to see which shareholders own the paid and unpaid shares.
